So, I have a FF stage 2 ps box, three years old/ around 3000 mile, come back from a drive today and damn oil dripping off the nut on the pitman arm, so something is not right, hopefully it's just the seal, can it be done just by pulling the pitman arm off??? Or is it something more sinister ????

You should be able to. Haven't done one in a while but there should be a snap ring holding the seal in and if you're lucky you can start the car up and it will blow the seal out if not you'll have to fight it. I've drilled a small hole in it and screwed a small slide hammer in and pulled the seal out. Just be careful not to hit the shaft. You don't want to nick it.

After pulling the pitman arm & removing the snap ring, put a big drain pan directly under the seal, fire the car & crank the steering hard against it's stop..... If it's still hanging in there blip the throttle.... It'll fly out....
