I am doing the rear brakes and was surprised that it had 10 inch brake drums.

Shouldn't a 440 car have 11inch?

I would say  11" rear drum brakes are A53 (TA/AAR) only. And cars with HD drum brakes. All other cars had 10" rear drum brakes, even Hemis.

Depends totally on what front brakes you have. Discs up front gave you 10" rears, drums up front gave you 11" rears on U code cars.
I've taught you everything you know....but I haven't taught you everything I know....

:iagree: 11" drum brakes on all four corners was STANDARD on R/T and 'cuda. If disc brakes were ordered the rears were 10".

AAR & T/A had disc brake front with 11" rear Included with A53

That explains it. I have a disk brake front.

Thanks for clearing that up for me.
