The Monroe-matic's currently installed on all 4 corners don't seem up to the task. Car often feels like I'm on a rigid frame & I'm looking to smooth out the ride.

How adjustable is the ride?? Not looking for a sport shock.

From too squishy to too hard? My vocabulary lacks the correct words..lol

If you are looking for a non adjustable shock my vote would be for the Bilsteins linked previously. Shocks are one of those things that are 'you get what you pay for'. They can make a dramatic difference in your car's handling.
Years ago I went from a common cheap shock to Edelbrock IAS shocks. They were about $100 bucks a pair at the time and after I drove with them I thought. 'Wow, what a difference'. Then a few years later I had the same experience changing to the QA1 pieces. Changed my appreciation of the tech in shocks.
Not saying you have to pay big $ for shocks. I consider the QA1 shocks pricey, but if it is in your budget and you are just wondering if they are worth it, they are. :alan2cents:

^^^ Thanks both. Shocks and ride are so subjective, like exhaust note. Did not really want to drop a lot of money into shocks but it appears the only way to assure to get what I'd like is to buy the adjustable. Thanks for the info on the QA1, the range "squish to park bench" is what I was looking for. Which model did you go with, QA1 Stocker Star R-Series Shocks or QA1 Stocker Star Shocks? You can get the adjustable Hotchkis 1.5 Street Performance Series kit for all 4 corners for about $500. Seems like a decent deal if they are comparable. The QA1's seem to go on sale quite often as well. PST seems to have abandoned QA1 for the Viking lineup, have not heard much feedback about those.

I went with Hotchikis single adjustable. Others had went with the more expensive double adjustable. Yes, you will feel the difference in making the adjustment in terms of ride comfort and suspension control for handling. You will need good shocks going with bigger torsion bars and added leafs to the rear springs. Adjustable allows you to fine tune to what you like. Wait for the sales if you have time.
