From what I read, you say the new box doesn't have a master spline?

I filed the coupler. I figured if i filed the box and there is a problem with it, they could give me a hard time on the warranty. If I file the coupler and screw it up I can replace that easily.

Ok, I get it now.
It's tight, how were you able to get it removed?

Took her for a spin, finally, I am a tooth or two off on the coupler, the wheel is no 100% straight, but she works.

Honestly the gear box is nice and tight, not too much just the right feel.  There is a small, i guess I would call it a dead spot at 12 O'clock, but I think that is normal....its just noticeable.

I really like it, great upgrade from my old worn out box.  I rebuilt it years ago and tried to tighten it up with additional reaction springs, it made a small difference, but this is a big upgrade.  The car goes nice and straight down the road and no longer wanders.
