Starting to look at parts for upgrading the handling, I currently have tired factory leafs from a 383 car so looking to replace. I see the Hotchkiss "corrected" springs but pricy.   :unbelievable: Just looking for spirited street driving and maybe an occasional parking lot autocross

Need some detailed info on the overall suspension and tire parts on your car....

What ride height do you like your car at? Hotchkiss springs sit lower that stock?

What tires are you running (or plan to run)?

What front torsion bars do you have?

Do you have stock sway bars (plan on upgrade)?

Stock rear springs are like ?$250 or something. I think the difference of $200 spent on a torsion bar upgrade would give you many TIMES more seat of the pants handling improvement.

Right now I have original  torsion bars (forget dia, would have to measure) and leafs from a 383 parts car but at almost 50 yrs old they need replacing anyway. The rear sits lower than stock just due to the sag in the springs, front is lowered to match. I have factory front and rear sway bars, a set of old KYB shocks and 15" BFG`s. I am just starting to upgrade things as money allows and so I figured since they need replacing anyway I`d start with the leaf springs, I`ll upgrade torsions bars to match and then sway bars and better shocks, planning on 11/16" tie rods, reinforced lower arms and either Moog offset bushings or aftermarket uppers. Will also replace the all season BFG`s for some stickier tires and wheels, probably 17" as I don`t think much I available in 15" anymore. Not sure if can judge ride height by the pics or not?

Looks nice!  It sounds like you have a good plan.  The Hotchkis TVS has all of that in a system that works together.  I will add a component you don't have on the list that will not cost much but will make a huge difference for your suspension to work better.  US Cartools frame bracing system will benefit your chassis and allow your shocks and springs to work like they are supposed to. This will snowball a bit, but you will love it when you do it.

In the middle of installing them now, will also add the torque boxes and maybe a couple other stiffeners.
