60+ mph I have a vibration in the front that increases the faster I go. At 80mph, the hood shakes.  Same as a tire out of balance. But, tires are new with small amount of weights and were rebalanced to double check and still required same weights. Wheels show as being true. The rubber grommets in front have also been replaced. No change whether in gear or not. Could a bad ball joint cause the problem ?

Did the problem start happening at the same time the wheels were put on?  I'd probably start by doing a front to rear rotation and seeing if the problem move to the rear in my troubleshooting.

Wheels have been on for 10 years. Problem started slowly over past 6+ months.

Well I'd certainly check the b-joints and t-rod ends, pitman and steering arm for sure.

Might not be related to your issue but after 10 years I'd consider new tires? They do have a " shelf life" as well as tread wear. Dry rot/cracking, belt separation, rubber gets hard loss of traction/handling, etc....  Moving them front to rear was a good suggestion.

Agreed on the rotation, I had same issue that I fought for years. Finally figured out the rear tires were so out of balance, they caused vibrations in the steering wheel.  Would have never guessed that after spending too much money.

What make tires ? BFGarbage ?
I have had the same issue with brand new BFG , they are not made round , up to a 3/8 " step in them , balance perfect but out of round tires will do that even when the balance is correct .
FYI DO NOT USE BFG !

They were Goodyear Eagle GT RWL outline 15". Ended up being all 4 tires. P255/60-R15 and P215/65-R15  Put same size of BFG RWL on without any issues.
