Whats your fav 70's rims for E Bodies?

I hated SS wheels impossible to mount with the unilug , chrome peeling Arrrg  :steamingmad:
 Like the Torque Thrust , Welds , ralleys of course , even the 17" or old school slots are so cool !

    On my first car (1965 impala SS) I had E-T slotted mags. I really like that look. Any one of these four look good on an E body.

I don't recall my Cragar SS ever having Unilug, certainly the new ones don't. I do agree they used to have flaking issues but again no issues with the modern SS.
My second favorite wheel was Centerlines, but that was back when I had a GTX.

Crager's SS definitely had unilug, what a POS design.
I got screwed on that deal, saved up and bought a set while working for $2/hr at Burger King.
Car had a terrible shake at 55mph, tried everything possible, and eventually figured out the rims weren't true. It was way past warranty by the time I figured out, Even after warning him, my friend gave me 1/4 of what I paid for the rims, for the rims and tires for his Camaro.
That was a painful lesson for a 16yr old.

I always liked slot mags, but had a soft spot for the look of Cragar S/S wheels and a deep aversion to unilug and the cost.

My car came with Mercury Cougar mags which look like S/S but were chromed steel.  I later replaced them with a set of Appliance Steel Spoke wheels, which are also S/S clones in steel.  Got offered good money by a Cougar driver for the Cougar mags.

They make 17" rally wheels that are of course period correct, and also 17" Magnum 500's that are also a period correct favorite of mine

I love slots, both aluminum and chrome steel, Torque Thrusts, Cragars, Keystones and others all look good, color makes a difference.

Rallye wheels looks the best if stock. Cragars are my #1 aftermarket wheel,  then Torque Thrusts. I have a set of all 3 wheels that I run on my Charger. However, I have some Weld Magnum 2.0 on my Challenger. I am still undecided if I like the 2 PC or 1 PC front wheels better.
