Looks like where the 71 gullwing would mount

The owner did say he installed the wing and did use the brackets. Other than that, I thought the same thing.

It took me three tries to get the stain (Walnut Mini Wax) close to what I thought was acceptable look. Once dry, which took a day or two, I sprayed on three coats of clear coat.

After looking it over, I just didn't care for it. Instead of cutting and buffing it, I just scrapped the whole idea of using it. Instead, I bought a Rim Blow steering wheel.

The steering column was sand stripped, and a couple coats of acid etch primer applied. The column was then finished up with two wet coats of SEM Landau black.

It's been a month and a half Marty....

:unbelievable: I didn't realize it had been that long.

Ok then...

Finished up the steering column. I connected the column wires with the AAW wire connectors. Located a 3-inch steering coupler with rebuild kit. The letters on the flasher knob were also detailed. I used a piece of a business card wet with white paint from a paint pen. I lightly tapped the letters till they were covered. It took a several times to get it right. If it didn't look right, I just wiped it off with lacquer thinner and tried again. Once I had it, I sprayed on a coat of 2k clearcoat.

Installed the column assembly. I did use the coupler clip since the seal did come off while trying to install the coupler onto the steering box.

Wired up the front-end lighting system.

The right door window was just sitting in the tracks but not connected to anything. The regulator was in place but that's about it. I removed everything out of the door to see what I had and didn't have. First thing was to remove all the old single stage paint overspray. I was missing the horizontal track, a washer and the hardware that connected the track to the window.

I dug into the spare parts and found the track and the washer. I have a 71 Challenger in the paint area, so I looked at the track and was able to match the hardware. Installing the window was a breeze.

*Hardware size-Front/Phillips screw 1/4-20. Rear/ Bolt 1/4-20, 7/16 head with washer. Slot in track goes to the rear.

Door panels.

Scrubbed down the door panels with Ajax, water and a red Scotch-Brite. Rinse and then I let them dry overnight.

Wiped them down with an alcohol and water solution. 80/20. Tack cloth then two wet coats of SEM Landau black. Let them dry overnight.

Using 3M Strip Chalk, I put the moisture barriers onto the doors.

Installed the door panels onto the doors using new parts and hardware.

Looking good Marty.  Your getting so close to being able to drive it!  How did the new hardware work?  Hopefully no issues using new vs. original?

It won't be long now.

Armrest, armrest brackets, finger cups, interior door handles, Cuda badge, lock levers, cranks, and the lower door panel clips all fit on the door panels that came with the Barracuda. No issues at all.

Short update.

Adjusted the rear disc brakes and got them at 1/16" from the stop. CPP Performance universal cables were used to complete the parking brake system.

Installed the trunk/gas tank vent lines.

Bench bled the master cylinder.
