The Starbird show results:

The 1971 Hemi Cuda won "Best in Show".
The 1971 383 Survivor was not judged.
The 1971 340 won in the Mopar class.
The 1970 Challenger was not judged.

That sublime Challenger....is the spoiler mounted in the correct place? Seems kinda far forward.

The owner did say he installed the wing and did use the brackets. Other than that, I thought the same thing.

It took me three tries to get the stain (Walnut Mini Wax) close to what I thought was acceptable look. Once dry, which took a day or two, I sprayed on three coats of clear coat.

After looking it over, I just didn't care for it. Instead of cutting and buffing it, I just scrapped the whole idea of using it. Instead, I bought a Rim Blow steering wheel.

The steering column was sand stripped, and a couple coats of acid etch primer applied. The column was then finished up with two wet coats of SEM Landau black.
