I think most people outside of the car hobby would be shocked/surprised to see a major car part like your grill sitting on a dining room table. For those in the hobby, it's completely normal.

I never thought about it, but I'm sure you are right! Good thing is the misses like seeing the progress. So much of the small stuff is done at home after work.

It looks great, but before you clear off the table for dinner, the chrome headlight rings get black-out as well

I'm aware of the blackout inside the chrome rings. Any tips for masking?
