Thought I would show the new project.

Yes it hit a pole and blew out the rear, but on the good side it is not real rusty.

The car has taken a turn for the worse, found a little more frame damage, looks like the shock mount, driver side got pushed forward about 1/2". Still looking for a frame shop to work the kinks out. I just measure now seeing how far the damage is.

If there are any frame guys in the buffalo NY area, who I haven't called and have the ability to straighten it out let me know here.

The 70 Challenger has passed its first major hurdle. The frame is fixed, and the quarters were saved. The shop that did all the work on the rear was K-S Auto Restoration here in Tonawanda N.Y.  They did a great job squaring it away, they are not cheap but you get what you pay for and the car was worth the investment as the pictures will show. I have stored the car for the winter, but I will be rebuilding its steering column and hopefully its dash for the spring. I have an RT hood, but still need decent original front fenders and rear valance. Plus a period correct 383 4v motor wouldn't hurt.

@ogre Great project! I'm mid stream on a 70 RT as well. A hint for this forum software flipping pics that I have found, is to even slightly crop them on my iPhone or iPad and they land upright on my posts. Just sharing as this issue drove me nuts.

Looks good.  Looking forward to watching the restoration, at least when I don't have to turn my monitor upside down to look at the pics.   :haha:
