1970 -1971 challenger fender differences

Thanks for all the information everyone. I never paid a lot of attention to that particular difference before.

It got me curious so I looked at my 70 Challenger project and I realized the original replacement fenders I got at a swap are a matched set with the notches. So off a 71, technically.

The guy who wanted my new aftermarket 70 fenders has since backed out (drive too far) so I think I'll just use the pair of aftermarket 70 fenders and sell the 71s.

Are the notched 71 fenders desirable or sought after or is it that most people don't care? I don't need much money for them but I'd love to see them go to someone who can really use them.
