'70 center cap question

I have two center caps, and I think they were both repainted at some point. From other photos, it looks like the entire top center should be a brushed silver/chrome? Or a Chrome ring (like mine has) with the center brushed aluminum? Mine only has it as a ring around that center. What's the correct look?
