I want to find measurements to locate the aft 1/4 window channel, lower brackets that are spot welded to the outer wheel houses. when my 1/4 panels were replaced they were not installed. Can anyone with a 70 challenger get some measurements from a car that the interior is out of so my body man can get them in the right place? Thank you in advance for any help with this problem.

Is this the bracket you are looking for?  These are old photos so I can't get you a measurement, but maybe they help others know what bracket you are looking for.

Or is this the bracket you need (the one on the wheels house)?

I can take the measurements from my '70 Challenger as the interior is still out of it.  My metal is all original as far as I know.  Please advise on what you're looking for using Cody's pictures.  If you can mark up one of the pictures that would help too.

Yes that is the bracket. Both of mine need to be located properly.
Thank you

As seen on the burnt orange challenger picture I would like measurements to install mine correctly on both sides.

Dakota

Ok.  I'll get some measurements tomorrow afternoon and post them.  Stay tuned.

@GWMagnum - Shown below is what I could get for the passenger side.  I can't get good access to the driver side as the car is too close to a wall to open the door.

I used pieces of insulated 14 gauge wire to get the distances.   The wires were smoothed down onto the curved surface of the wheel well (they were tighter to the surface that what's shown in the pictures). I measured up from the same point at the bottom of the window well to the front corners of the bracket, and then again each front corner of the bracket to the nearest vertical piece of metal.

I really couldn't reach around much more for the other end of the bracket so hopefully this will give you what you need.
