For 2 days I have been trying to get the Drivers side quarter glass installed. The Passengers side adjusted nice.On the driver side the glass hits the inside of the quarter panel about half way up.The front of the glass is fine but the back will not clear the quarter panel.I have try every adjustment even change regulator.I about ready to take a hammer to it.When I look down inside the quarter panel with the window down the back part of the glass is pointing outward.Any thoughts?Thank you.

You have the black roller piece in backwards. :alan2cents:

The black roller is a two piece deal. One thin piece with a large hole and one thick piece with the track groove and a stem that fits into the thin piece.

The thin piece goes on the inside of the regulator arm closest to the head of the bolt, and the thick piece goes on outside of the regulator arm closest to the window itself. :alan2cents:

Thanks Alan.I was thinking about that.I thought the arm would get hung up on the Bracket. What the hell would this site do without you.

1. Can that black roller be switched around with the quarter glass in place?
2. Any chance it can be pointed to in one of those pictures.

I think this might be the issue with my passenger 1/4 glass. I spent all afternoon playing with the 2 adjusters and nothing I did helped/changed the issue. When I roll up the window the bottom part of the glass hits the outside of the rubber seal, it's no where near going into the rubber's groove.

Thanks
John

Is it can be turn around.I had it in backwards and Iwas fight it because I did not know it was in backwards.

B5fourspeed

The glass does not go into the seal.It lays next to it.

Mine's a convertible, I'm pretty sure they're different from a hardtop.
My driver side quarter glass rolls up perfectly into the rubber's gap.

Thanks for letting me know it can be turned around, I really hope that's it 'cause otherwise I'm screwed.

B5fourspeed

Sorry,I didn't catch that it is a convertible.

Am I correct in saying that the black roller goes to the circled bolt in the picture?

anlauto

YES, but it clips on the regulator arm first :alan2cents:
