Another Cuda molding question

Regarding repop door top or belt line moldings I was looking at a beautiful restored "Moulin Rouge" '70 Cuda at a car show on Sunday and noticed that the door top moldings below the quarter glass did not have the 90-degree screw tabs in front that go down into the door jamb like our '72 does.  The person I spoke with was not sure if they were NOS or repops.  To me those tabs "anchor" the moldings.  I only see one repop set of moldings out there but the photos are not very good.  Has anyone installed the replacements; and do they have tabs?

NONE of the reproduction moldings have the tabs, if you want them, you have to save your old ones and insert them into the new moldings

@anlauto ok, I admit I have not looked closely  enough at the originals to see the tabs might be removable... I'll check it out.

Not sure if this has been answered, but in searching for a set of beltline moldings for a '70 'CUDA I was told there are 2-3 different styles, particularly with and without the 90º tabs. Mt car is a June 1970 build, is there one that is more "correct" than the other?  I was told that later '70 cars would have the 90° tab - if that is correct, how late would be later?  consensus from the experts?

Well I cannot address the '70 specifically but on our '72 the moldings are held in place by plastic clips that slip over little pins that resemble nails that are "welded" to the top of the door and quarters.  If it were not for the 90 degree tabs (on our car)  that extend down into the door jamb the molding would just slide loosely back and forth. The tabs "anchor" the quarter moldings with a single screw through the tab onto the door jamb

My 1970 Cuda has an SPD of 613 (June 13, 1970) and the M31 - Body Belt Mouldings for the quarter window have a countersunk Phillips head screw at the front edge. They are the originals as I have had this car since 1984 and bought it from the short-term second owner.

I do not know if there was a mid-year change to these mouldings or if one supplier did this and the assembly line installed them.
I have replaced them with repro mouldings without the screw. My originals are in great shape but the doortop mouldings were pretty bad so I went with the repros.
Anyone have some insight on the different M31 mouldings in 1970 or the timeline for changes?
