another hole plug

I replaced my trunk floor, my question is the Orange Trunk Shock Plugs, mine are smaller than the hole so I ordered a larger one but what about the hole below this plug, it is open from the bottom does anything go there?

The metal one your red arrow is pointing to is NOT a shock tower plug. It is a floor plug from inside the car found only(mainly) on AAR's and TAs.

FWIW, the Dynacorn trunk/rear seat panel has that metal plug too. I don't recall it being there on my car's original piece.

YES, those metal plugs are supposed to be there on a 1970 Barracuda convertible....here is a "before" picture of member ErikR's 70...
