My road runner has 3-4 coats of paint on it so I don`t have a good sample of paint to match when I get it mixed up. I am looking for a roughly 5-6" square of original paint off a car- FC7 IN-Violet/Plum Crazy. I`ll pay for shipping of course.

Mr Cuda

I'm  currently doing a fc7 car.
I matched my paint to the inside of a door I have here.
My glasurit base formula matches perfectly.  I don't know how close other formulas are. Color match can be a problem 50 years in. Toner strength keeps changing.
The easiest way to accomplish this is to have my  paint store do a computer match to the door, for say ppg DBC basecoat.
Then your store can mix off formula.
I would not use lesser brands than real PPG.
Get a couple people to do this, and compare formulas.

That is my plan but I don`t have an area of original paint that is nice enough to scan.
