Hi All,
Sometimes it's surprising what is cheap and what is expensive. Turns out the clips for the belt trim (the chrome trim on top of the doors) are hard to find and only seem to be available from one site for $300. Ouch. Has anyone figured out a different approach? Curious if there are other clips that would work.

Thanks. Wow, the first ones are nearly $200, though they look original. These look like some of the ones on my car, but there is one possibly two different ones. I found this blog that has some pics that match what mine have. I wonder if they were mix and match or if they were different for a reason. http://www.cuda-challenger.com/cc/index.php?topic=90401.0

Anyways, that second link is what I was thinking. Get something close and it should work as long as its wide enough, the hole is the same size and it latches.

Yes: Someone could make a limited run of the sill clips and tail panel trim clips. I dunno if it would be worth tooling them up though, probably not. I won't be restoring an SE again.
