Cuda floor what are these

I see 2 of these in the rear floor pan and 2 in the top of the trunk floor. What is the purpose and should they be left there?

Yes they should be there.  I think they are metal instead of rubber (or plastic) because of their close proximity to the heat of the exhaust system below them.
