Looking at Dynacorn floor pan which is for challenger.

Wondering what sheetmetal is different on the undercarriage for both cars.

Currently looking at a full floor pan since they offer date correct drain fingers for front foot areas -1970.

I don't know if there are any stamping differences between challenger and Cuda ?

Thank you!

A barracuda is two inches shorter than a challenger, I believe the difference is in the rear foot well area. so i would say they are not the same.  :alan2cents:

Front floor pan, center floor pan and trunk floor pan are all the same size. The rear footwell floor pans are different.

So is it possible or worth while to use a challenger floor pan and cut the 2" out so it fits a cuda?

Thanks for the replies.

I guess dynacorn is out since the make full pan with rear seat foot wells for challenger (not worth time to alter )

That leaves Goodmark full front pan with correct drain fingers or AMD full front pan and overlook the minor detail difference it years.

From what I read, Goodmark uses thinner sheetmetal than AMD which is deterring me.

any thoughts?

I think having the correct details on the "drain fingers" out weigh the "thickness" differences which is minimal. :alan2cents:

AMD does have better crisper details, heavier steel, but as you pointed out, are not correct for every application. :o

Thank you Alan I appreciate the  :alan2cents: and knowledge sharing  :worship:   glad its not much thinner.

While I have your ear.. totally different future project please;
Could I purchase a dynacorn complete truck floor w/rear seat pan assembly and frame rails unit, then convert for cuda easily? or would it be easier to buy all components separately.     This is for a convertible application which may throw another wrench in the works.   thx

YES...buy the complete unit, it's a heck of a deal and a time saver....The only difference is the oval cut out for the fuel tank fill tube.

I'll be going this route too on my convertible. The bodyman that's going to be doing the work really likes what he sees with that panel.

1. You need to remove the spare tire hold down bracket and re-use the one from the 'vert or buy a new one (AMD 817-1570-2), totally different shape and location.

2. Check out this thread if you haven't seen it yet.

Jay Bee is right about the spare tire bracket...I skipped over the part where you said it was a convertible you had...

Thank you all, this is great info and I also bookmarked the other thread for reference.

I should have mentioned its vert and 1971.   I can ask more questions once I start on that project ... good to know this item is available and interchangeable !

Being a 1971 you'll also have to change the E Brake cable brackets. This floor pan assembly is a 1970 with a bracket for the two cables meeting on the driver's side whereas the 1971 had the E Brake cables running down both sides

Here you can see the two brackets installed

You're welcome. My car needs inner/outer wheel houses also so I saved the following thread too. I don't know how this'll factor into my car but I want to make the bodyman aware of it.
