Dumb question. Does anyone know if the "Dodge" letters on a flat hood are the same measurements to a Rallye hood?

That's a good question. I'm curious myself now.

Well then, I'll get the measurements off my flat hood here in a day or so to compare with yours. The reason I ask is because I'm going from flat to Rallye and if the measurements are the same I can just trace it out from one hood to the other.

Let me see if I can shed a little light on this subject of hood letters. When I picked up my power bulge hood several years ago. All I needed to complete the hood was the D-O-D-G-E letters at the front of the hood. I happen to pass a '74 Challenger sitting on a side residential street one day.  Wearing green paint and a flat hood with the letters I needed. Knocked on the door and a woman answered, told me it belonged to her son, who was in another state. The car wasn't running and she wanted him to come get it and get it gone. Not knowing if the hood letters would fit my new acquisition, I asked if I could purchase the letters, she told me sure and gave me a price of $5.00. Took them home and yes they fit my '70 bulge hood perfectly. They cleaned up very well. Yes they fit.  Thanks,   Al

The exact measurements you requested can be found here:     https://board.moparts.org/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php/topics/200675.html         scroll down about half the page, open attachments in posts from JT4406. I took these photos of NOS hood letters placed on an original 70 model rally hood.  Compare them to your flat hood, if they're the same (bet they are) use your flat hood and make your template.  Jess in ky

Doing a quick measurement on the first "D" to the one of the pictures in the link posted matches up between a Rallye and flat hood. Good enough for me, when the time comes I'll make a template using my old flat hood as a reference.
