Our 70 Challenger R/T was a vinyl top.  We are just going to paint the roof.  Is there anything that we have to do related to the trim around the windshield, rear window and gutters related to the elimination of the vinyl?

Chryco Psycho

just removing the holes or posts for the chrome trim & filling the C pillars well so they are smooth

You got it. I think it's a good mod to leave them off.

Yea....all the stainless trim around the windows is both the same for vinyl top and painted roof cars, no difference there :alan2cents:
I've taught you everything you know....but I haven't taught you everything I know....

I don't know...Orange with a Black Vinyl top looks pretty damn good IMO. On certain colors I totally agree with leaving it off but if your set on removing it, just fill the holes in the sail panel, Dutchman panel and windshield pillar like was stated earlier...

Leave the chrome and to-tone it.  :alan2cents:

The vinyl roofs look awesome on these go mango cars. The extra stainless looks great too. Here's a few shots to tempt you. Easy to install yourself.
