Emergency brake cables

Trying to mock up my new emergency brake cables.

My exhaust hangs a little lower than stock so I think.

Are the cables supposed to go above the exhaust?

I have a 73 Cuda with an intermediate e-brake set up from inline tubing.

Does anyone have any good photos as I could not find any good ones online with the intermediate set up.

The rear cables are the critical part.  If they don't match the originals, the intermediate cable might not fit.  The front part of the intermediate cable should go on top of the exhaust.

Just found this picture online.  It shows how the intermediate cable routes through the hook attached to the trans x-member.
