Engine bay finish detail questions

Getting ready to paint my engine bay on my 73 challenger and I had a couple of small detail questions.

I'm assuming the battery tray and bracket were originally the body colour?

And secondly, was the hood latch conical spring at the front painted body colour from the factory?

And the large coil hood pop spring?

No, it was a brownish/ black phosphate.

 Nice; so the spring should be the same colour as the latches!

In most cases the spring is more black then brown.

Hood "pop-up" spring was always grey phosphate.
