Hi Guys,

Hesitant to even ask this, I'm having really hard time finding a good 70 cuda passenger fender.   That said, one came up in nice condition, but it looks like someone patched a 70 marker into a later year fender.    How expectable is this??  big faux pas I have a feeling.    Are they identical other than side markers?    I am trying to keep it all factory metal, avoiding AMD for that reason only.

I was told that the depth of the headlight mounting location was different but I never confirmed that :alan2cents:

 :iagree:
I believe the later fender is not as deep

Easy enough to check if you have the 70 headlight bucket or the measurement from your fender

Thanks I wanted to make sure before purchase, could have just been a repair patch and not conversion.
I have both 70 and 73 at home, I will have a closer look and take measurements.   I thought they were the same, would make sense however since the later years seem more abundant and less costly.    Perhaps everyone would be doing lens patch as quick solution if they were the same.

Reporting back, I didn't notice a difference in depth.... Measured from headlight bracket to nose in two locations.  1970 vs 1973   :dunno:
