Hi all,
I am looking for a bulb for the side marker on a 70 challenger but am running into multiple issues. Anyone know what is the correct bulb?

I bought a lightbulb kit that included bulbs for the side markers. I had to replace one of the pig tail lamp sockets and the bulb from the kit doesn't really fit and the there was no info about what size bulb it takes.

To make maters worse, my service manual doesn't list a bulb for the side marker and Classic Industries chart seems to suggest there weren't side markers for 1970. Or maybe they don't have that info? Seems weird. On line part houses show the 1970 and 1971 share the same side markers. According to classic industries that would be an 1895 bulb.
here is the classic industry link to the bulb chart. https://news.classicindustries.com/restoration-tips/mopar-lighting-guide-bulb-charts/

I had trouble getting LED bulbs to fit my replacement side marker sockets.   There was a pretty easy fix.   I don't remember  if non-LED bulbs have the same issue.

cool thanks. I was thinking of something similar but with aluminum foil or something. If I can't figure out a better bulb I'll give that a try

My 1970 Service Manual calls for an 1895 bulb, as does the Owners Manual for my Nov '69 car.  I was going to do a quick pull of a bulb, but they were pretty set.

I swapped my side markers to LED, the bulbs I pulled out was 1895.
