Recently going along a rough road I noticed a lot of tinny noise coming from the front of the car. Sounded like a skeleton jerking off in a 45 gallon drum.  :o
Sooo, when I got home I investigated and found ALL of the dabs of adhesive or whatever it is in between the outer skin and the substructure detached from the skin. So when you tap the hood it rattles. So what can I do? Try to inject a little silicone in there?  :dunno:

3M makes the foam that the factory uses and you can just put it back in.  It's one of the reasons I don't like dipping part or the bodies of cars.  I like that foam anti rattle stuff to stay in place.

You can look around to find the best price, but I think this is what you need.

That stuff isn't cheap, but $45 won't kill me either....

I used to work with this old Scotsman and that was one of his favorite expressions for a noisy pump or motor.  Another expression he favored when someone annoyed him was "I hope your next crap is a hedgehog!" All said with a strong Scottish accent of course.
