@headejm In another post you mentioned you had chrome trim on the back edge of your hood. I've never seen that. Would you post a pic please?

@blown motor   My 1970 RT SE has these moldings as part of the M31 Body Belt Moldings group. The fender and hood pieces are an extension of the Belt Moldings that are on top of the doors and quarter panels. Basically, chrome wraps all around the car.

Cool!
I've never seen them on a Challenger before. Thought only cudas had chrome trim available on the top door edge.
Was it on all SE's or was it a rare option on SE's?

Here is another with the full belt molding. Check out the picture below of my 70 RT/SE

I'm guessing the Challenger didn't have to be an SE model to have the 7 piece belt molding with back of hood trim and top of fenders. My base model Slant6  car has all the 7 pieces of trim and all the other trim pieces you'll find on any other SE car. Very strange.

That's correct dodj, I  bought it in 1972 with all the extra trim on it. After doing some research I found the trim leaned toward the SE or WSS side. This includes the 14" rallye wheels. So it proves a lot of options were thrown on a base model car. Can't seem to find a rhyme or reason for it.
