hood wedges

Can someone show me where these go?  I see them for sale, I assume that I need them, but I have no idea where they go.

Look at your fender bolt flange about six inches ahead of the hinge... Should be two screw holes....

Okay, less than six inches...

Do those force the hood the center?

not so much force the hood to the center as keeping the hood centered , the hinges do have side to side play & it keeps the hood away from the fender .
