I have a 1973 Dodge Challenger.  My passenger side door window doesn't go up or down anymore so I need to replace (or repair) but I'm wondering how to get the regulator out?  Does the window need to be removed?  Do I need to remove or loosen any of the other brackets?

I know there is an access hole to remove the regulator but I can't even get the regulator to push back far enough to clear the window crank teeth. I'm trying to do this the easiest way so looking for some experienced feedback.

Any help would be great appreciated.  Thanks.

In my experience you should be able to unbolt the regulator from the glass , & leave the glass in the door although you will probably have to hold it up out of the way with a vice grip on the slide for example . 2 bolts remove the slide from the glass , but if the regulator will not move you may be in for a battle , as you would usually wind the regulator down & slide it out from the access hole at the bottom of the door .
If you are rebuilding it try lubing it or using penetrating oil to get it moving , if you are replacing it cutting it might be an option .

Its a pain even when they are functional. I pulled one from a parts door today and it's a frustrating task.

The Chrysler Service Manual has a pretty good section on removing and installing windows and hardware.  The 1970 and 1971 manuals are posted in the Resources area of this website. Would assume those years will work for 1973.
