Question on Rear Window Regulators

Are the rear window regulators the same for both hardtop and convertible?

I believe they are different part numbers, but I have put hard top regulators in a convertible and it worked just fine.

I have put non vert PW regulators in verts and they fit and operate fine. Not sure about manual regulators, but I see no reason they would not fit or work properly. Sometimes there are mechanical stops in the design to limit travel. Hope this is some help.

The parts books say there is different parts for them, but as I said, I had them sitting side by side and and the non vert PW regulators are slightly different, but did fit.

Interesting.  The ones I pulled from the car are coupe in your pics.  It wasn't restored and I have no reason to think they were replaced at some point.
