Can someone tell me if the brownish areas are rust or some kind of sealer? Is the bottom rusted out toward each end or is that the normal shape? Is there any reason this would not work on a 74?

Thanks.

For the price and the fact I don't think these are available, still might be a good part for the $$$. I attached the picture for others to enlarge and share their thoughts.

Looks like some surface crust but probably a good usable part from what I can see.  The price seems very fair if it in fact usable.  :alan2cents:

Looks like the lip along the bottom might be missing towards the outer ends. Kinda hard to tell from that picture.

That's what I was thinking also, makes sense as they do rust out in that area? . Drivers side top looks to be missing also, but again might be the picture?
That being said those area's are easy to weld in a patch and for the money it seems like a fair deal?

Yep, what the man said, but as Brad also said, if it is rotted there, it's not the end of the world to repair. What, are you in the tractor planting?

These are getting harder and harder to find. My last car I was close to converting it to a '71 rear panel but I was able to salvage the '72 I had. This one is way better than the one I restored.
