Cuda hood scoop color

When is it correct to have the scoops black and when is body color correct? I have seen both on cars.

I dont believe they were ever body colour from the factory.

Scoops are body color, the scoop inserts are black. Always.

Black scoops are custom, unless they are on a black car obviously.

We are not talking about real hood scoops like the shaker are we ?? Just the imitation scoop openings on a power bulge hood?

Yes the dual scoops with the flat black inserts.

  The scoops themselves were actually installed in the hood before it was painted.  There are pictures online of people removing scoops that have never been off before.  The hood just has primer underneath.

Sorry I need to read the question better next time. I thought we were talking about the hood scoop insert as I saw you ask that question in another thread. My apology. I believe the scoops themselves are always body colour as stated.
