The second photo is one I took back in 2015 , one of many I took during vehicle teardown, and it shows how the rear track for the qtr glass is supported at the bottom. The rear support has a clip which hooks into a bracket that is welded to the wheelhouse. The AMD installation center replaced the inner/outer wheelhouses shortly after this and they neglected to save/reweld this bracket from the old wheelhouse. Just noticed it today when I was installing the window mechanisms (last photo). Has this happened to anyone else? Needless to say I was pissed off, but I figure there is a relatively easy fix to this. Guess I will try to rig up a small piece I can either tack weld or epoxy on. It doesn't need to be pretty since it will not be visible but I'm wondering if there is some common part that would suit this or maybe fab something simple? Since I have no reference for the placement of the new part, I will need to attach it to the clip and have the glass in place in order to mark the location on the wheelhouse. Any ideas for a quick fix? I will need to do this for both passenger and driver sides.

Should be easy enough to make something that would work  :dunno:  But check this out....I found two different lengths ...wonder if Cuda is different from Challenger

They stopped using that rear track altogether in the 71 model year, so you can eliminate it without too many worries  :alan2cents:
I've taught you everything you know....but I haven't taught you everything I know....

So did they make some other design change to help support/guide the window when they eliminated the rear support? I guess its not a huge deal since most of the time those windows will be up anyway.
