Quarter by Twenty by 1” Mopar bolts help

I need 15 of these screws/bolts That hold the center cap on to the original wheels and they have the Mopar star in the center they are 1/4x20x1 thread.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

 :thinking:  I'm sure that is simply "AAA" for the bolt manufacturer's mark - having a Dodge "FRATZOG" on the center cap retaining bolts wouldn't "please" the Plymouth owners

I am 100% positive that since they're all the same parent company that someone belongs on the center caps and I only have six and I need 15 more. They're not gonna make three different symbols for the different portions of dodge and Chrysler back in those years lol

I went to the RT site and sent them a photograph mine do not have shoulders so I prefer them to not have shoulders I am waiting for a reply

How do you know the six you have are original ? Have you owned the car since new ? You could be looking for something someone bought at a hardware store 30 years ago  :dunno:

The MMC Bible of E-Body fasteners shows the correct bolts having a shoulder

So that means that every single screw on these center caps for this original 288,000 mile two owner 71 challenger are incorrect for the car?

After 51 years, that's likely a question you'll never know the answer to.

That's why a guide to the hardware most commonly found on E Bodies was published, it is a guide to which all E-Bodies are to be judged by, a set of standards if you will. :brainiac:

I would hazzard a guess that there are very few original consumable parts on a 288,000 mile 50+ year old car -  :thinking:  how many times have those center caps been removed?  - the center cap screws are notorious for stripping out & one solution would be to install longer than stock fasteners (1" VS. the .60" lg. versions referenced in the MMC guide) to access the unthreaded material deeper in the screw hole.  and even if a prior owner has no knowledge of them being changed, any tire jockey in its past 10+ sets of tires could've changed them w/o the owner's consent

Yes you are correct in those 288,000 miles logged between the gentleman's home and Boeing where he worked plus his vacations and what not they could've been off several times for tire swaps etc. anyhow it's going back together with all original items I've just spent the last six years he's doing this for my customer and I want every single nut and bolt to the original like they are so far except for these missing 13 screws and I want 15 because I need extra just in case lol

What is it about guys that work at Boeing and Challengers?  There is currently a yellow 70 RT on BAT that is claimed to have been a long time daily driver for a guy that worked at Boeing.  At first I thought they might be the same cars, but then saw that this one is a 71 and the 70 is not wearing rallye wheels.

The second owner bought the car off of a car lot At two years old and about 20 to 30,000 miles on it. My customers father owned it from that point forward. Cougar and he retired from Boeing and my customer retired from Boeing and his dad was a bit of a tinkerer so there were some things I had to put back in stock after getting it for restoration
