What is the best method for removing old overspray from the plastic cowl screens without damaging them?
Contrary to the opinions of some, I am not dumber than I look.

RUNCHARGER

Soak them in brake fluid until it's loose, then use a soft brush to remove it all.

Another option is full strength EasyOff oven cleaner.  Will not damage plastic or rubber.

Personally I would not attempt to remove the overspray . I would clean them with dawn dishwashing soap rinse clean then scuff them with a gray scotch bite, And then give them 2 coats of SEM trim black paint they will look great.

I have no idea. LOL. But after I painted my car I did something stupid and tried to clean something off my paint with acetone. I didn't realize it would go right through  the paint. That might be an option but I don't  know if it is safe for plastic. But regardless what you end up using, I would test it on the underside to make sure there isn't any surprises.

Which option did you decide to go with and how did it turn out?
