Has anyone removed the air vents and sealed up the cowls (with windshield wipers)?
- Perhaps filled the screens with epoxy or made steel covers?
- I have also thought about closing the vents in the hood

I've seen them welded shut, but they're never driving that car in the rain.

I'll have covers on the vents, but figured it would be nice to reduce the water into the cowl.

When building a custom car, there's no rules...have at it  :bigthumb:

Should be fairly simple to do.
On E-Bodies, you can leave the hood alone and just seal the cowl and make it completely reversible.
The plastic vent screens could be replaced with solid ABS or other plastic like Kydex and some weather stripping.

Completely eliminated the cowl vents on our A-Body.  Has Classic Auto Air, does not use outside air.

hmm, having a Vert in Houston (that is driven) I value my fresh air. I would kinda like something more "stylish" than the plastic slotted vent screens, but not a priority. I've never had any issues with water getting in the vents and/or car  :dunno:
