All, I picked up a Resonator to Floor Pan Mounting Bracket from Dales Cuda Shop and trying to figure out on the drivers side which side the "C" should point from the inside of the rear floor plan?  50/50

In my opinion, you have it mounted correctly, but where is your rear seat bracket ?

Do you mean this?

Burdar

That's the bracket for the seat "bottom".  You're missing the DS bracket that attaches the seat "back".

@nicka I was talking about these, they are welded to the floor and secure the rear of the rear seat as Darren mentioned.

I see what your talking about.  Nope, it never had one on that side.  Not sure why?   I looked at the back seat and I see where it would slide into the back of the welded bracket.  The bracket that I installed has a smaller gap up top compared to the passenger side.  Not sure if it will slide in on the drivers side.

Here's an original pic.  You can see the four dimples in the rear floor Pan.  That's where I drilled for the resonator bracket.  It lined up perfect.

Could be a factory screw up that it's missing  :dunno: but the exhaust bracket will not do double duty...once you put the seat in place you'll see it doesn't line up.

Like Alan said, it looks like your exhaust hanger bracket is properly located. Now you need to weld in the bracket(s) that hold the rear seat back in place.  :alan2cents:

Thanks all for the replies.  I found an even older pic during tear down and I don't see any remnants of any welds in that area.  Lets assume that the seat bracket was there.  How would the part from I bought from Dales work?  Wouldn't the seat bracket be in the way.

anlauto

Look at my above picture again, the four holes for the exhaust bracket are clearly to the left of the seat bracket.

Judging by your last picture, I would say the factory clearly messed up....quality control was not the best back then :alan2cents:

Here's a picture of my resonator bracket and seat back bracket (which has the seat mounting screw plate removed). Just FYI, the rear seat doesn't "slide" into that bracket, it sits on the outside of it.

Thanks again.

Before reading the latest post, I took another look at the back seat area and compared the "channels" on the left and right sides.  I then took a look at the rear seat brace and it measured 26" off center.  I did a quick measure from the original back seat brace and noticed that the 26" came in on the right side of the resonator bracket.

The latest pic confirmed it. Thanks

I'm betting this part isn't available via aftermarket.

That's a safe bet....maybe someone is cutting apart a parts car ?

I'm in the process of creating a back seat bracket that was missing from my car on the drivers side. Does the back seat "attach" to the back seat bracket?  I'm looking at the passenger side back seat bracket and I see three holes on the lower bracket.  Is there a bolt(s) or screw(s) that attaches the back seat to the bracket?  I don't recall seeing anything on the passenger side bracket when I removed the back seat.
