What is the best method and tool to use to remove the stainless roof gutter trim without damaging them?

Burdar

They are held on with screws.  There are separate screws for the weatherstrip channel and the drip rail trim.  Each has it's own foam gasket.  With the screws removed, they should come off without much trouble.  The weatherstrip channel comes off first, then you can access the drip rail trim screws.

Perfect; I'll have to look closer. My 68 charger had form fitting ones you had to peel off and tap on which were a major pain

Burdar

The side glass weatherstrip should just peel out of the channel.  Then you'll see the screws.

A different question in the same thread; any tips on removing the window surround trim on both the front and rear windows?

@fireguyfire There are metal clips that hold the trim in place, they make a tool that is flat with two blade like ears with hooks on the end. it slips between the glass and molding, you pull the clip back to release them one at a time.   :alan2cents:

Thanks; I'll have to track one of those tools down.
Can anyone post a picture of what the tool looks like?
