Shaker ring bolts

The bolts/nuts that hold the Shaker ring to the hood are tearing up the seal around the shaker itself. From the looks of my pic, is this the way the factory did it ? Does your seal get torn up also ?

Mine does not . . . sounds like your bubble might be riding a little high?

I've had 6 or 7 shakers now, never that problem.
