sideview mirror loose

My passenger sideview mirror glass is loose took the mire off and there's aphillipd screw on the bottom which I could get off but even if I did it doesn't look like I would be able to tighten the mirror ?

Mine was the same way. The mirror has to be removed. If your very very very lucky you can use heat to remove it. Odds are you will need to go to local glass/mirror shop and have them make one for you if you break it.  Thats what I did. In first pic, you can see the large holes that allow access to the mirror internal mount after the mirror is gone. In 2nd pic, you can see the metal strap with a bump in it. After drilling out the rivets, take the strap and tap on it lightly to flatten it out some. It does not take much !!!  Then go to hardware store and get some small bolts and lock nuts. I had to use a dremel grinder on the nuts to get the clearance I needed. Use silicone, let it set for a little bit, to reglue.

Ok thanks so I put heat directly to the mirror and hope it loosens is that right  will probably break
