Bought Metro Mat last year....finally tried fitting in vehicle......mostly OK except big mismatch between tire iron loop and hole in mat

Possible mismatch reasons:
- My trunk extensions were replaced, so wondering if the loop is in the correct spot
- Pre cut hole in mat put in wrong spot
- or both

If some could please send me their dimension from the loop to the extension/wheel well interface (or other baseline) I would appreciate it. If the dimension is good, then I'll contact Metro and see what I can do....

The extensions on my challenger were replaced but they matched the original location.

Thanks for the measurement. I'll check it when I get home.

I'm now wondering......are the dimensions the same between a hardtop and convertible trunk floor/extension area?

I've ran into this before...Any chance you have the little punch out piece from the trunk mat ? I put the piece back in the hole and cut a new hole in the matching location to the loop. Secure it with a little tape on the backside  :dunno: If you don't have that piece, make a pattern and use the piece you remove.

Next issue might be your tire iron is too short to reach the loop  :drunk:
I've taught you everything you know....but I haven't taught you everything I know....

Unfortunately can't find the piece. Was thinking that also, or carefully splicing in another (wouldn't be easy)

Called Metro and they may be nice enough to replace it. Will hear back next week.

I guess I feel better you had the same issue, so looks like Metro's hole location is off. I went with Metro because I bought a cheap one couple years ago and it became brittle and literally fell apart.

I had to do the same thing.

Is there enough on the front or back (not sure which way it is out) to retrim so you match the slot that is already cut? (I hope that makes sense)

Working with Metro......they may be able to send me one without the cutout and I would cut the hole myself to match my tire iron loop location....they've been very helpful so far.

Great: That would be the best solution.
