Where does this part go?

I have this part that is with a bunch of Cuda parts and have no idea where it goes or if it even goes to the car. The paint matches the original paint code so maybe it is a Cuda part. Any help is appreciated. thanks

I don't think it's a "part", I think it's a part of something, and I'm not sure it's anything E Body in my opinion.

Kinda reminds me of the underside of a hood latch mechanism where it attaches.

Maybe it broke off?

Definitely looks like a standard u-nut on the right side, and likely would have another on the left.  If that's the case, we're looking at the back (or under) side.   How big is this?  Maybe 6"ish?

Tip to tip it is 5 1/4" and 1 1/8" wide.

Thanks for the welcome back!!! I am at a total loss on the identity of the part pictured. I have never seen one like it before, but it came with a bunch of parts from a Cuda project I picked up years ago. I really doubt it is an E body part as Allan mentioned, just not sure what to do with it, LOL. The only similar thinbg is the color.
