So we are going to do our typical schedule for the show:

Friday dinner at Dodge City at 8:00 after the show.
Saturday lunch at the club tent at 1:00
Saturday night pizza party in the parking lot after the show.  Usually around 7:30 or 8.

Everyone please make plans to attend!

SWEET !!
Glad to hear it!

How do we point this out to everyone who might not be looking?

I don't know what to say. I always plan to make Carlisle to see everyone but more often than not life happens while I'm making other ...well you know. The pandemic restrictions have all but evaporated for me here in Alabama; working for the State Department of Labor in the Central Office (the Central Office Building mask mandate ended 1 July), the Employment/Unemployment programs and funding have wrought havoc on personal plans - especially being granted time off. I understand but would still love dearly to spend time with you folks at this show. I could even finally drive up in a Challenger R/T with Milynda, even if it is a 2016 model.  ;)

I hardly get on the forum these days, the biggest reason being my girlfriend Milynda; we spend Saturdays together and since early/mid January speak each and every evening for a couple of hours give or take. More often than not I barely get enough sleep to function the next day, but I could care less as we're like a couple of HS kids when we're together, haha. She's been instrumental in my getting the 16 R/T and has already been to a local show at the Wellborn Muscle Car Museum in Alexander City with me - enthusiastically suggesting we go when I mentioned that as a way to spend this past March 6th, supporting my habit whenever I spot the occasional classic Mopar as we go wherever. I took her to the storage unit to see my fix-it-up-someday R/T SE and without skipping a beat suggested a five year plan for it as well as pushing her three kids 17, 19, and 21 to launch so she in her words can "...chase me around the coffee table."  :D ; I plan to retire the first half of '23 and less than a year later we plan on marriage; I'll be selling my house and both of us are in agreement to look for a couple of acres near where she lives about 20 miles north of Montgomery for our future place together. She is looking forward to riding with me to the shop I have chosen to restore the car I've named 'Beyon-n-n-d Repair' to discuss my getting in the waiting line.

When I first mentioned cruising long distance in the '70 to wherever, she quickly said she'd love to ride with me even after I made sure to explain i's factory non-AC! Having never been into cars herself, she is all on board with my own love for them - particularly Mopars - and often remarks how she's 'learning' when I point one out to her in our travels. I say *wow* a lot these days as you might imagine :)

Forgive me for rambling on like this but I really want to wish who's going to have as wonderful a time as possible and to those who haven't been yet, it is simply epic in every way. At least that's my opinion. And I wanted to say what I've been up to and kind of why.

I swear I'll try to get on and post more but hope everybody gets to create some memories not soon forgotten. Have a slice and a beer for me :grouphug:

PS this is the best picture I have of us so far from the Wellborn Museum show this past 6 March. We're on the side talking with my old friend Joey who owns the Top Banana '73 Rallye.  :lurking:

Couple of questions as it's been awhile since I've brought my challenger to Carlisle. Is there still truck and trailer parking available at the show grounds usually? I missed the pre register deadline as I wasn't sure of my sons work schedule then.... Hotel room I found was in Chambersburg and it does not have enough space for a trailer from what I remember..
Also , when I register at the gate I should be able to say I'm with the group right? Do we get to park together or still in the individual model rows?
Thanks and looking forward to being there. Should arrive mid day Friday..

Saturday is the day that they want you to park in the designated area. I usually park by the tent on Friday since there is extra width behind the row next to the road. I see trucks and trailers parked on the road leading to the main entrance road, but if we have a truck and trailer, we usually leave them at the hotel and drive in.

Looking forward to seeing a lot of old friends and hopefully meet some new ones too.  Had a lot of rain today but am loaded up and ready to leave in the morning.   I certainly wish that our Canadian Friends could come this year and enjoy the show.  That part sucks . .

Your car is too far forward on the trailer. You want 60/40 on the trailer tires. 60% of your weight. Just saying...,

Not sure if he is a member here but thought I'd share: Joe White, the guru of MOPAR distributors, will have a booth at Carlisle - O87.
If you don't know him you can check his Facebook site @ Joe's Mopar Distributor Restoration. He does amazing work restoring yours or has some available as well.
You guys have fun, I hope to go one of these years!

We actually made it to Carlisle! It was a rush decision made about a month ago. We flew in and we're on grounds yesterday.

Today we are hitting it early and will be all over. We are also helping with the G3 hemi swap seminar at the seminar tent at 2:30pm today, Saturday.

Please come out and say hello! We will try to swing by the club tent today as well.

On a side note: I already scored a correct 70 steering wheel for my AAR so I can get rid of the 72-74 2 spoke wheel;

Now I'm looking for a pistol grip handle and an AAR rear antenna

Wish I was there, I'm quite "salty" about it too!  :verymad:
