1970 Dodge Challenger Convertible

$45,000

Originally:
Yellow, Black Interior, Black top

Currently:
GB5 Blue, White interior, White top

I bought the car 17 years ago all apart as someone's discarded project.  Most of the back end, floor, and under hood  bodywork had been done.  I finished the car in my choice of paint color and interior to serve as a reliable and presentable driver quality car.  The car retains the original engine and transmission.  Many new and reproduction parts were used as well as rebuilt originals where I felt the reproductions at the time were lacking. Below are some details of what has been done.  Please feel free to contact me with any questions.

Engine:
-   Original 318 rebuilt, approximately 3000 miles on rebuild.
-   Rebuilt heads with the same casting as the originals.
-   New Rings, Bearings, Oil pump, Water pump, Fuel pump.
-   Stock grind 71 340 Cam with new lifters.
-   Factory correct 70 340 intake with correct number AVS carburetor (Original intake included).

Exhaust:
-   Newer style 360 exhaust manifolds
-   NOS Walker Head pipes
-   Reproduction Resonators
-   Walker mufflers with pipes welded to them, turn down style.  At least one has a hole in it.

Suspension
-   New upper and lower ball joints
-   New upper and lower control arm bushings
-   New tie rod ends
-   New Rear springs and shackles
-   New front and rear shocks

Transmission :
-   Original 904, nothing done to by me except selector shaft seals, tail shaft seal, new dipstick tube and drain fluid.

Rear Axle:
-   7-1/4, believe to be original, nothing done by me except to check fluid level.
-   New U-joints

Exterior:
-   Base Clear 71 B5 blue hand rubbed to an almost glass finish.  There are currently many imperfections due to moisture, etc. Popping under paint.
-   New bumpers from Autobody Specialties.
-   Original grille and bezels in very nice shape.
-   Reproduction hood moulding.
-   Convertible mouldings all in excellent shape except for right front pillar.  I actually had it straightened but the fellow took the curve out of the moulding and the door rubbed it.  I tried to put the curve back but kinked it.
-   Beautiful correct grain vinyl top and rear curtain put on.  Before having the top put on I put on new cylinders, new hoses, and new seals in the pump.
-   Tail lights and bezels are originals in good driver shape.
-   14" Rallye wheels with decent centers and new trim rings
-   71 Style painted rallye mirrors.

Interior:
-   New White PUI interior
-   Door panels and rear panels are original black ones painted with Krylon plastic paint.
-   Console is 71 style with ashtray and has crack next to shifter.
-   New carpet
-   (3) speaker 71-Up dash with single speaker AM/FM radio from a C-body
-   New Seatbelts
-   Black Legendary boot
-   New Black visors.

Brakes:
-   Manual 10" Drums
-   New cylinders, shoes and hardware prior to me buying.
-   New steel lines and hoses
-   Rebuilt original style master cylinder
-   System has DOT 5 silicone fluid.

Other:
-   New reproduction gas tank and fuel lines
-   New aftermarket radiator 22"
