Wonder why they used a 72-74 dash and steering wheel.

Not that my opinion matters but it always makes me wince when the grill/headlight buckets are not painted correctly, its takes the same effort/cost to do them correctly....?  I'm so not a purist by any stretch of the imagination but that for some reason always sticks out to me? 
Cool car though I'd love to own it, I'd change a few things like the painted bumpers etc... If we were all the same it would be a pretty boring world.
