I'm suspicious of that listing.  Oak Lawn is a blue collar Chicago suburb and those pictures aren't from there.  Phone number is central Indiana.  I've never seen it, though there are more than a few cars hiding in the area you rarely or never see at any car event.
I may be wrong but the ad raises red flags for me.

Nice for sure, but why not re-do the Barracuda dash emblem??
The only thing flat earthers fear, is sphere itself.

Just a weird observation: the cloth label on the seat belt looks like it doesn't belong on a 44k original mile car. My car also has approximately 44k original miles and all of the cloth labels are still white and look pretty decent.  :dunno:

That is why I love this forum!!!  All of the replies are exactly what I thought - looks suspicious!

I do love the car though - I am partial to the dark greens (my'69 Formula S Barracuda and '69 Charger 440-6 from high school days were both green)

I knew the sleuths here would either know the car, or catch the inconsistencies!

respectfully, I think we should consider more factors than just odometer miles when comparing the condition of soft materials between different cars.

What is the code for that Ivy Green?  F7?

44k miles is not a lot but the car looks way nicer that just "cleaned up".  Looks too nice to be unrestored but the description doesn't say much about whether it was repainted, what was replaced etc.
Remember, wherever you go, there you are.

Reverse image search located the car from a previous listing on BaT in 2023.  It was in central IN, which is where the phone number in the ebay listing is, so maybe it's legit.  Not sure why the location in ebay is shown as a somewhat distressed Chicago suburb though.

Ebay listing has disappeared.  Maybe it was a fraud, if sold or of the seller canceled it, the expired listing would still be viewable.

The OP posted a phone number. I wondering if calling it would amount to any information.

@mtull What are your thoughts on this?

MoparCarGuy

The listed car's VIN is BS23R0B412027.

Regarding the condition of soft materials such cloth tags, humidity levels, parking location/habits and general car care could affect the condition of the aforementioned materials. For example, if you have a habit of forgetting to role up the windows completely and it rains, and/or if you live in GA, FL, etc. and the car is closed up tight for days at a time then humidity trapped inside the car could possibly cause some items to deteriorate more quickly then they would otherwise. I've seen a few very, very low mileage cars that spent their entire life outside and their interiors didn't come close to being even half as nice as what we can see in the Cuda.  With that said, a number of forum members have noted the car appears to have had more work than just a "clean up" so perhaps it does have more than the miles advertised.

I text the number when the listing was active asking to see the car in person - no response at all.  Something sketchy for sure
