I'm guessing that's the way it was optioned when ordered. I just restored an AAR with the same thing....single painted racing mirror. Passenger side mirrors were optional.

Maybe the fender tag can explain why. No optional passenger side mirror codes visible. Code should start with a "G" isn't it?

Yep, my AAR only has the Drivers Side Painted Remote and I have only G34 on my tag and broadcast sheet.

The Left Side Remote was part of the Standard Package on an AAR:

there were very few early production RED shaker bubbles when new - now every RED car seems to be "restored" with a RED bubble

originally the 'cuda had the STANDARD driver's side manual chrome mirror

added elastomeric bumpers, added mirror, added wheel lip mouldings

wrong decklid & trunk floor

It also has the 71-74 rear splash pan, and the plugs for the shock bolt access through the trunk floor should be orange, not black, a few other little items, but all-in-all a beautiful car!!!
