I've seen saw pics of the trunk extensions - quarters have been replaced I believe. The car isn't "pristine" as the seller states. He had front bumper guards mounted in the wrong location on the front bumper. I see he's removed them since I explained it to him. Though, he states that he knows nothing about the car's history😀

.......What is the point of Mason Daniel pimping this car.......

Who is this guy 'Daniel Mason' ??? He pimps about 20 cars a week here. There's a guy over on moparts that plugs about 20 b bodies a week, never comments on them, just shows a link, could it be the same guy living in his parents basement?

He is just putting what's in the title of the listing and not "pimping the car" or ebay ads in general. Personally, I think it's a bot that posts listings from the web, and I actually really like that, because it gives us discussion and makes people aware of E bodies for sale. The part that I would like to change is consolidating all these repeat listings into a single thread, and if @MasonDaniel7 is a bot that is using an API to get that information, I think we might be able to combine repeat threads. @Cuda Cody or any admin, do you know?

Well, at least on this site, all mason daniel posts are links to for sale items. I doubt there is any financial motivation, although maybe there is, and some people simply don't want to post opinions and reveal anything about them selves but still want to be in a community.

Only they know for certain.

But, these posts do open many of our eyes to what's out there without making a concerted effort to do so. I personally aren't looking for another car, but some on here are and this is an extra set of eyes that may reveal some of these options as well as get feedback from the larger community about work and value of many of these.

I for one really appreciate Mason's contributions to this site.

No one else is listing e bodies that are for sale.  Anyone?

Roadman used to post a bunch of stuff for sale also.
I used to post a bunch of stuff from craigslist and other sources when I found them but I just have not had the time in life to do that lately.

Keep posting away Daniel Mason.

Since we don't get as many posts per day as the  "foronly" sites out there I think this also helps out this community with more posts about the one thing we are here to look at.

I enjoy it too, but I have to admit, it's the repeats that bug me the most....it certainly takes the personal touch out of the equation...For the longest time...I was thinking .."buddy, wake up, you just posted that last week....you don't even know what you're posting".....then I figured it must be a bot thing or whatever...now I'm hesitant about even clicking on them, I usually wait to see if anybody else has replied...
I've taught you everything you know....but I haven't taught you everything I know....

I think it gets in the way of real and active members in this hobby with their questions, advice, networking, concerns, commentary, etc.

I do know active members contribute genuine discussion to some of the post.

I just feel duped if it's not a real person or a person not genuinely interested in each car for sale.

And I did just notice tomsjack on Moparts does same thing

You can bet your bottom dollar it's an ebay bot.  No doubt in my mind.

I've tried to have conversations with Mason a few times and never ever get a reply.

I can totally see how you don't like it, @autoxcuda , in some ways I hate it.   However it has made me look at a ton of cars and learned a bunch of stuff from some of those cars.

Ebay knows what it's doing.  They manipulate money out of users pockets every second of every day.  I do find it interesting that these ebay bots do not exist over on the "foronly" boards.

The "foronly" boards are heavily regulated and moderated.  They very much censor any political talk on all their boards with exception of 2.  So since they are so up tight over there, they will surely notice this type of bot and get rid of it.

I would totally think it cool to put all of mister daniels posts into one specific posting that doesn't bother everyone.

I didn't get paid for reposting that craigslist ad. :bigmoney:

If it's a bot. It must have the site owners permission.

And that's fine. But making the posters name seem like a real person is a little unsettling to me.

I have said this before and I will continue to say it here.

Over on FCBO, when a C body comes to light and is posted in the "not mine" for sale section there used to be a ton of talk about each car.

Side note,  since the politics have just recently been censored from the web page, the talking about anything has gone down by about 70%.   Very unfortunate.

Anyway there are still about 6 to 9 guys that chime in and talk about how this one piece of trim is missing or look at that one point where this is discolored, that means rust.  etc. etc.   They really can pick a car apart.  And the C's have a ton of options in each line and the knowledge that is written down is absolutely impressive and great to read and learn about.

I wish 6 to 9 of you guys would just give me 3 posts per each of these for sale listings and tear the car to pieces like your judging it for factory specs.
I am still trying to learn these cars as I was not driving when they were actually on the roads.  Or alive for that matter.

Your wisdom is being asked upon.  Please spread the knowledge love.

Sorry if I am over talking.  But if you have read as far as my last post then you already know I'm gonna get toothy.

Check it out.  I really like these mopars and missed an opportunity some years ago when I was unknowledgeable about these specific cars.

@Cuda Cody      Just tagging you to state that I am posting a link to another forum page.  Seems some folks think it's a competition and we shouldn't use other forum pages for knowledge.  I post reference to your web page here as often as I can over on any of the other boards.  I've personally recruited probably 30 or 40 people and have actually spoken to well over 100 folks about joining over here.   It goes both ways.

I will always encourage members to share and help as many people as possible.  You will never hear me ask anyone not to share info on other forums or post links to our competition.  The more we share information regardless of what site it's on, the better we all are.  Feel free to share any other forum links as you want.   :grouphug:
